A quick update for our regulars and neighbours. From November 2024, The Mortimer Arms became a fully independent pub and hotel. That means The Trusty Servant is no longer a sister pub.
What this means
- Independent ownership and management – all decisions are now made in-house by our team.
- Menus and events – created by us, for our guests, with a focus on seasonal dishes and friendly service.
- Clearer communication – one venue, one team, one set of channels.
What hasn’t changed
- The same warm welcome, honest food and relaxed atmosphere.
- Our location by Junction 2 of the M27 on the edge of the New Forest – handy for meet-ups and days out.
- A team that loves looking after locals, walkers, families and park visitors.

Can I use gift vouchers from The Trusty Servant here?
No – vouchers issued by The Trusty Servant belong to that venue. Mortimer Arms vouchers are valid here only.
Do you still run joint events or offers?
No – any events, offers or loyalty schemes are now specific to The Mortimer Arms.
Who should I contact for bookings or private hire?
Get in touch with our team directly and we’ll sort everything from tables to our events room.
Are you still on good terms?
Absolutely – we’re simply separate businesses now. We wish The Trusty Servant well.
